Default LDS member introductions

I think it would be really great if we could get all of our LDS members to introduce themselves and perhaps tell a little about themselves. I know there are many wonderful LDS members on this site, and I think it would be nice if we could get everyone aquainted.

Yeah, okay, I will start. First off, my name is Kara and I am the LDS moderator for Families.com. I have 4 children who are all so awesome and I have been blessed enough to be able to be married to my very best friend in the whole world. I love the gospel and I love learning more about it. There are many things that have defined who I am today, all of which have been hard things to go through. This makes me very grateful for the trials that I have had. (me in a nutshell).

Hi! I'm Nikki (I'm a mod for the CVS Deals forum, the Cloth Diapering forum, and the Attachment Parenting forum).

I joined the church 8 years ago, when I was 19. At age 21, I served a mission in Fresno, California (spanish speaking). After I got home, I met Nathan, we got married, and we've got two kids so far.

Spiritually speaking, it's been a lot of ups and downs. I felt the spirit quite strongly when meeting with the missionaries, and seemed to keep it for many months afterwards. On the mission, I built habits for regular scripture study & prayer, but it was hard to keep up after returning home. Thus, it has been hard for me to feel the overwhelming presence of the spirit like I did during my "conversion" and my mission. I guess some of the issue is that I'm just more used to the feeling now. But I do want to build up those good habits again too!

Hi, my name is Teresa. I have been married for 10 years. We have three great kids. I grew up in Utah and now live in Idaho. I went to Utah State and got a degree in Elementary Education.

I have been a member of the church my entire life. I can honestly say that the gospel has saved my life. It gives me something stronger and bigger than me to hold onto when times get rough, because they always do. It's just life. But everyday I am grateful to know that I can pray and that the Lord hears my prayers. With his help I get through the hard times and get to really enjoy the good times.

My name is Jo-anne. I live in country Victoria, Australia. I've been a member for a little over 12 years now. I am the only one in my family who is a member so being a first generation has been difficult at times and very challenging. I have two wonderful chilldren who were baptised last year and I have a wonderful boyfriend who is a member also.

I was inactive for a very long time but early last year I felt prompted to return & I felt so welcomed that it was like coming home. Since my return to the Church I know I have been blessed in so many different ways and I know that I have become a much stronger person also. I have a wonderful new calling in Nursery and the little children have taught me so much.

I am so grateful that I have the Gospel in my life. It has helped to give me a sense of purpose and I know that it is the best thing I have ever done for my children. Their early years were without the Gospel which now thinking about it makes me sad that I didn't share all of this, and the blessings, sooner. However I can see the positive changes in my boys since they have been baptised. Even the kids at their school has seen that they are 'better' for want of another word.

It's still not easy at times but the trials we face can only make us stronger.

Hello my name is Suzie. I hae been a memeber all my life, however i became active on my owe with my first real testimony when my husband was converted ... 5 years ago now. My family has been in the church since it begain, however my husband and myself are the first to be sealed in 4 generations - so sometimes we feel like the recently cnverted people.

We are looking forward to being the first in both our respective familys to completely follow the gosple in years.

I have 10 year old stepdaughter and a 3 week old baby girl. I am SOOO thankful for my family - I have everything i ever needed with them. My husband is wonderful.

We live in Southern California and cant wait to move out of state when SD turns 18 years old!

Hugs!

Hi Everyone,
I have enjoyed reading about you all. My name is AnnaMarie, and I'm out here on the East Coast in Virginia. I have three young children, 5, 2 1/2, and 11 months. I do my best to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ the center of my life. My life is very chaotic, due to my husband's career in the NAVY, but I have been so blessed where ever we have lived with good friends and sisters in the Gospel. We're the Lord's blessings to each other.
I'm glad to have found this website where I can find other good people who are trying their best, too. A recurring theme with us all is that life is hard. It is. I have such a strong testimony of the growth that comes from opposition. It was meant to be hard, to prove us and to bring us closer to God. (This is mostly a little pep talk for myself). I've seen close family members and friends come and go in their testimonies, some very recently. I am sure of its truthfulness in its entirety. It is often hard for me to do everything that keeps a testimony strong, but I know that when I do start to have questions or lack faith or feel like I'm not very close to the Spirit, praying or reading the scriptures reafirms my testimony all over again.
Thanks for listening to me ramble. Sometimes, it just helps me to get it all out there. One of my very best childhood friends told me this week that she has rejected the Gospel. It really devastated me. I wish everyone could just know like I know. I needed to get this out for myself. I'm so glad to have found this.
Thanks, AnnaMarie

Hi. I'm Miriam. I've been a member all my life, but made the conscious choice to keep coming to church and to stay active when I was eighteen. It was my conversion to the gospel. I have three wonderful kids and a good husband. I've had my ups and downs, but the gospel really has gotten me through them. It is so wonderful to know that the Lord is aware of us no matter what we are going through. Currently I live in North Carolina.

Hi to all, I am Andrea. I currently live in Tampa, FL but will be moving up to NC/Tenn area once the summer is over. (Will know in 2 weeks exactly where) I have been a member my whole life. My parents were converted to the church just after they were married. No one else in their families ever joined the church. My hubby and I have been married for almost 2 years now. I have a wonderful 13 month old baby girl. I am currently staying at home to raise her in righteousness. It's been tough living off one income, but I am determined to do so. That is actually how I found this site- looking for other Mommies and see how they do it all. I am constantly in the Deals forms. I pop in here every now in then to see what is going on.

I have a strong testimony of almost Everything... I haven't been so strong as when I was out at BYU Idaho. The saying to be in the world but not of the world- is easy when your in the "Bubble" But here what I call the Real World. So much harder. I want to feel my Savior's love everyday. I just have to stop and let him surround me with it. But that's the hard part. Stopping. Right now I can see laundry that needs to be put away, toys that need to be picked up, etc.

I know that all the struggling we go through will be worth it. I cherish every moment I spend with my daughter. I would not trade her for any of the convienences of this life.
