Default Length of the cs scar

Hi there,
how long are your scars? If you had more than one cs, did your scar get longer the 2nd time? Is it normal to have a longer scar?
I had like 12 cm but now the scar is longer (didn't measure it right now).
Also do you have any numbness? How long did it last?
I don't feel anything between belly button and the scar. With my first cs I only had this numbness at the scar and it went away after massaging the scar.

My scar is about 6 inches long. I'e had 2 csections and I think the scar is a bit thicker now but not any longer. My scar was numb for a while but never beyond that. Maybe you shold mention it to your doctor.

I remember with my first that it started out pretty long, but shrunk down after a few months and after some weight loss. It is pretty big again now with the 2nd but I am guessing the same thing will happen this time. I think it was only about 4-5 in or so before I had the 2nd one done. It's about 6-7 in long now.

Mine is maybe 4-5 inches. I had 2 c-sections, but honestly cannot remember if it got bigger the 2nd time or not. I don't believe it got longer, but perhaps thicker. Minimally though.

I too felt some numbness...with time that faded.

I have had 2 c-sections and my scar is about 4-5 inches. It's thin now and barely visible. I think it got slightly longer the second time. It's been a year since I've had my second and I still have numbness in the area.

Mine is about 10cm long and quite thin. I had numbness at the scar site with a thick rope-like lumpy area behind it for about 12 months but now it's gone back to normal, just the scar. This might sound a bit wierd -but ever since my c-section the left side of my belly sort-of sits a bit lower above my scar than the right (used to kinda "hang" lower until I lost a few more kilos) . Oh, well nevermind. My bikini-wearing days are well and truly over anyways...

Wow, that's kinda frustrating. I can feel some numbness leaving veeeery slowly and I think it will take a long time this time.

I asked my dh about the numbness and he said at first that it was weird because they wouldn't have cut any nerves or anything during the cs, but he thought about it and said it was possible that some nerves could have been damaged during the tugging and pulling when they deliver the baby. So that was his explanation for it and he said that it could take awhile to completely go away, but it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

When they did my cs they used DermaBond (skin glue) rather than staples (which was wonderful, so much better than staples!) and now that it is starting to peel off and the dried blood and such is coming off with it my scar is only about 4 inches and barely noticable! They did a much better job this time around so I don't think I'll hardly be able to see it when it is healed!!!
