Default little trip to the ER

I am exhausted....

Last night around 1am Jaeclyn woke up crying and saying my name over and over. I went in and rubbed her back and she continued to say my name. I went to go pick her up to hold her (it was apparent she was having a bad dream, she was tossing ad turning and whining) she started screaming. I thought I had scared her. Next thing you know she's grabbing her head saying her head hurt over and over again

Then she started saying that she fell off the couch and hurt her head. I had gone out to a cheerleading coach meeting tonight and left the girls with Kevin. I had no idea what happened and he wouldnt really wake up enough to tell me anything. I got her to my bed and she refused to move her head. Not back and forth, not up and down...she would not take meds or drink juice (which is VERY strange). Finally I had enough, and started getting worried so off the the ER we went.

They did absolutly nothing. Looked at the outside of her head and said she was fine. They said she was holding conversations fine and her eyes all looked normal. Everytime she was moved or she decided to move, she was screaming in pain grabbing her head again.

They said she probably pulled a big muscle in her neck while she was having the night terror. They def think it was a night terror because 2 hours after she had woken she wasnt totally awake, still very out of it

Now Kaydee just woke up with a 101.5 fever Jae still wont move off my bed w/o screaming in pain. She just keeps saying she fell off the couch and hit her head. I jsut dont knw what to do! She is in a lot of pain, thats apparent

shes drinking and eating now, but still wont turn her head. She finally took motrin, so hopefully that works soon. She wants M&M Pancakes, so off I go to cook. Do you think its anything more then a pulled muscle? thats what it seems like but she keeps grabbing her head almost behinf her ear...not her neck...thats what worries me...and they said she didnt have an ear infection so its not that

I think it sounds like she wrenched her neck when she was thrashing about. Perhaps she dreamt she fell of the couch. Perhaps offer her a warm pack to put on her neck to see if that eases it?

Plenty of fluids and follow her cues. Is she being sick or is it all heading south? Is she on antibiotics for her ears?

yeah she just started an antibiotic last night, but had the diarrhea before. She always spits up so its hard to tell what is actual sickness or Kaydee being Kaydee. I think its just her normal amount, so its all heading south. I know its all from her teeth but the poor things butt is so red (She has an antibiotic cream for that as well)

Yogurt always helps with diarrhea for us.

Sorry to hear about jae, i hope she start feeling better now that she has taken some motrin.
I hate the ER too, the last time i was in the ER they sent me home and said i had a scratched eye ball. The next morning i woke up with a 103 fever and my face looked like i got hit by a truck and i spent 7 days in the hospital with ocular cellulitus.....that just put a bad taste in my mouth for ER's....i know they are there to help, but they ticked me off!

For diarrhea caused by teething I always just fed them normally and offered lots of drinks but yogurt is good because it can ease any thrush which might be caused anti bs.

Hope they are both feeling better and have a nap for you so you can have a nap too.
