Default Low blood pressure?

I had an incident today while at work. I was standing there (I did not make any sudden turns or anything) feeling "flutters" (the baby maybe) and all of a sudden I got really clammy and hot and got those white spots in front of my eyes (like when you're going to pass out) I knew something was wrong because the feeling got worse. My vision was almost completely blurred, so I got down on my knees because I knew if I didn't get down I was going to hit the floor (which in itself would be a huge problem) so my friend came over and got me so I could go sit down. Initially I thought it was my blood sugar (I did eat already... a few times lol), but I took it and there was no way that was it. So I called my doc's office and they told me it was probably my blood pressure and that's why I felt so awful (I felt really nauseated after the whole passing out thing went away). They told me it could have been my blood pressure or the possibility of getting a virus. I've never had this happen before and it makes me really nervous, like this couldn't have potentially done anything bad to the baby could it? I mean it did go away and I didn't have it happen again (However if it does happen again my doc's office wants to see me)..... Has anything like this happened to any of you?

I have chronic low blood pressure, and this has happened to me on more than once occasion during pregnancy (and previous to it as well). There is no real danger to the baby- just you, especially if you get dizzy and fall. Usually if you sit/lay down for a few minutes and drink some water, you will feel better shortly.

It usually comes on at the WORST times for me- one moment I'll be fine, the next I'll be on the verge of passing out. A few years ago, while in the shower with my now ex-boyfriend, I actually did pass out.......not the most romantic way to end the evening!

I had that happen to me during my pregnancy. You need to make sure you eat reguarly, Main thing is to drink plenty of water...especially now that the warm weather is here. You do not need to worry about the baby, feeling weak is normal. Please understand that eating is fine but you are eating for two. The child is going to take everything it needs and if you did not eat enough of the good things our bodies need then that could have had a lot to do with it. Just remember all your fruits and veggies..... a serving for you and then a serving for the baby. You can never drink too much water and the good thing now adays if you dont like water is they have those green & white teas and flavor water. Lay off the caffeine-it may taste good but it does not help matters at all. Overall you are experencing something that may not be completely normal but there are plenty of women out there that have experienced it. Take care and good luck with everything!

I gave up caffeine at the beginning of my pregnancy, and I drink at least 60-80 oz. of water a day.... I guess I'll just have to see. I looked around on the internet after I posted this initially and found out more to make me feel more comfortable. Jadis I've had a few spells where I have (almost) passed out too, it sucks and I feel horribly nauseated afterwards.....
