I have a little star cookie cutter It's tiny. I use for sandwhiches but you could just cut or tear it into bite size peices

I just make them into bit size pieces (the jelly holds the bread together, or if it does fall apart there is jelly on both sides)

I usually cut it up but only half at a time, Jax learned how to bite off a sandwhich at his aunts house. It was weird cause he couldnt do it one day and then he was able to do it the next. Jax loves sammies and he is obsessed with bread I would just cut it up for her and see how she does it. Also another idea is Dinty Moore stew in the little cups we mash it up a little and Jaxon loves it. It is a little high in sodium but for a month there we were going back and fourth to Sioux falls which is a two hour drive so we had to have a quick go to option. He also gets diced fruit and cottage cheese. The dr said it was ok in moderation. Since his reflux seems to have disappeared.

I know what you mean - it seems like Caleb eats the same things all the time. We do a lot of just plain fruit and veggies for lunch. He loves peas, broccoli, carrots, asparagus, butternut and acorn squash (prefers the butternut). Bananas are his absolute favorite fruit, he gets half a banana almost every day at lunch. I peel the banana, then he breaks off the top half and eats it bite by bite! Ever few days I cook up a whole bunch of veggies and then dump a few of each on his tray at lunch time. He also really likes black beans, I've given him the canned plain beans, and also I drained and rinsed some black bean soup and gave him the beans and other veggies out of there.

Thanks. So far, jelly sandwiches seem to be a hit- she didn't care for the insides of the soup- but the chicken had an awkward texture- so we may try another brand(less chunky).

Rhi: Does Kaydee eat a whole sandwich? I just made K one slice of wheat bread with jelly on it- and gave some fruit and goldfish..

I make one slice of bread, and fold in half. Then I cut that into strips and she eats it that way. She usually has her sandwich w/ fruit or teddy grahms (no milk woo hoo!!)

I make an easy, delicious soup that my little ones have always loved and I use beans instead of pasta. It is easy to do anytime you have leftover chicken you don't know what to do with, or I suppose you could make a few chicken breasts or roast a chicken especially for the soup. You also need salsa verde (green salsa) I always have it on hand because I make it fresh but you can buy it in 8 oz cans. It comes in mild so it won't make the soup too spicy.

This is what I do:
Heat up a cup or so of mild green salsa in a large soup pan
Add 3 or 4 cans of chicken broth
Add shredded chicken
Add 1 can of drained great northern beans or 1 can drained navy beans
Season with salt, pepper, and cumin.
Simmer and serve!
**Be careful with the cumin because it can add some heat to your soup. Start with about 1/4 tsp and add more in small increments, or serve the baby and add cumin to the rest of the batch if you are worried about her consuming spicy foods. My kids always loved spicy dishes and salsas from the time they were eating table foods, but they are Mexican .
