Maybe it's just the newer stores (ours took over Bi-Lo 2 or 3 weeks ago), but I went in today just to get a bag of sugar. Shelf price is $1.99. It scanned $2.29. I brought it to the attention of the cashier right away, and she had this look on her face (like, not again!). I asked if they have the ruling like some of the other stores do---if it scans incorrectly, you get the item free. They didn't seem to know, but then said they don't think so.
The cashier told me that it's been happening alot that things are scanning incorrectly, or "item not found", and they seem to think that it's because of the changeover from Bi-Lo. After she adjusted the price, I asked her "Um, is someone going to change this in the system so that the next person doesn't get charged 30¢ too much?" Her reply, "Yeah, probably."
Well, "probably" doesn't cut it for me. I then went to CS and told them they need to make the correction in their computer & she made a note of it. I know it's a new store and they have to get the kinks out, but hopefully they do it soon
