okay, my adopted sister and me were married a little over a year ago in leon county, Alabama. We were married because we had a child together, and the court said it was legal according to my adopted mother, but now she is saying that it is not legal
Most places state that as long as siblings--adopted or not--share the same parents, they cannot be married. However, SOME locations do allow this because the law has left out the word "adopted" when it was written. I am not familiar with the laws of Alabama, so I would suggest that you contact your local county clerk to ask exactly what the law is for your state. Good Luck!
