Why do men always assume that the woman has 'forgotten' what it was like being pregnant previously?!?! I feel awful. This PG is nothing at all like my first. I threw up only three times my entire PG last time. This time, I am throwing up 3 times a day! I made the comment to DH that this is the worst part and it is worse than labor and delivery. He proceeded to tell me how 'It's a good thing women forget these things... blah, blah, blah...' Excuse me! I was there! MY labor and deliver was EASY - sure it was long, but all in all a walk in the park compared to what I am going through now...Anyway, Anyone else hate the phrase 'pregnancy amnesia'????

I completely understand. But I get well you wouldn't understand because you didn't go into labor. I had a scheduled c-section but had complications after. So I remember all the pain I went through vividly!

I have to agree..my dh thinks he remembers better than I do! He was at work all day what the heck does he know? I swear each next pregnancy is worse than the last...it just gets harder and harder with more and more side effects.

Men also think that we should bounce back like nothing happened. They also think that the extra skin goes away. My dh compared my recover to Britney Spears and other celebs. I had to remind him that most of them had scheduled C Sections 2 weeks before their due date to avoid the extra weight gain. Plus they have a personal trainer.
We aren't cars that can be tuned.
