I work at a television station. I was leaving work one morning and heard someone behind me so I held the door till they got there. The person was Clay Aitken. Kind of randomly exciting. We had a brief conversation and left he building at the same time . I've met a few other semi-famous people when they've come for interviews, he was the most random because I wasn't expecting it.

I used to work in PR. As a result, I met a number of celebrities. My two favorites were so extreme, it's unreal.
My first favorite was Keanu Reeves. He was so nice and down to earth. I'm a fan for life because he was such a sweetheart.
The other was Fannie Flagg. For those not familiar with Southern fiction, Fannie Flagg wrote Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe among other great novels. Such a Southern sweetheart.

Until recently, I worked in radio, so I've met Alanis Morissette, John Popper of Blues Traveler, and some other lesser-known music folks.

Met some older baseball players (Whitey Ford, etc.), but my favorite was when we dined at Spago in Beverly Hills and got to meet Wolfgang Puck.

I've met a few celebrities when I was doing a book tour and we happened to be on the same shows and was largely unimpressed (and I'm sure they'd say the same about me...) and one was a real butt head (can I say that?) to some of her fans but I don't want to spread rumors...but I did have a funny celebrity encounter once. Back in 1989 when I was newly married, my husband at the time and I took a trip to Europe. We were walking down the Champs d'Elysses and this big limo nearly runs over my husband. He literally had to dive out of the way. He has a temper and he had just been nearly run over so he got up and began going over to the driver's side to chew the chauffer out when the doors came flying open, and then there were paparazzi everywhere and then Jane Fonda comes out of the car and is whisked into the building. Instead of chewing out the driver, my husband and I both stood their like dummies and said, "Hey! It's Jane Fonda!" Ah, the power of celebrity.

Once Sean Astin did an online interview. I asked a question and he responded to it. Does that count??

I know Scott Foley personally. (Felicity, Scrubs) I went to school with him.
I also know two people who later went on to be producers.
Kevin Kline has been with my family on many outings when I was much younger. His nephew's family and mine were really close!
Robert Ballard (Titanic Discovery) is a close personal friend of our family and we email and chat once in awhile.
Weird how it all seems normal when you don't think of them as "famous"!

I went to Justin Timberlake's party this summer for his new album and saw Justin, Cameron, Christina Aguillera, Heather Locklear and a bunch of others. Spoke very briefly to Justin and he was really nice. Cameron looked really muscular. Went with friends who work in marketing for a brand that sponsored the event.
