Default MICHIGAN 4/1/07 What works for ECB's?

I live in MI, and this week we got that stupid little square booklet.....hate it!! Can anyone confirm the ECB deals for this week working in MI? Would love to take advantage of them.

I am in Michigan as well. I normally just go buy almost all of the deals that interest me. Used to be they worked 99% of the time, lately there seem to be many more regional deals that just don't work. My account is so backed up and I am waiting for over 12 ecb's to print now (have been waiting for the past 3 weeks). If I buy anything the only way I will know if it works is to either get a new card and see what prints (which means $ out of pocket) or do it on my existing card and wait until it posts online to see if it works....However, for some reason my account is really messed up and last month NONE of the deals showed in my summary (points section), the ecb showed only. A total pain.
I will be buying some things, just not sure what and how (might take DH's card which has a few ecbs to use). I will post anything I buy and if it works or not.

Another thing you can do is call Customer Care and HOPE you get someone that is actually helpful. If you tell them to look up your zipcode online they will see the booklet (most reps don't know what this booklet is). Then ask if they can look up ecb deals that are working for Michigan. If you get one that has been there and is good, they will be able to tell you what they are. If they just start rambling off things, be warned - they probably are not looking it up right. My experience shows that it takes time for them to cross reference the deals with some spreadsheet they get which lists the different states/regions the deals are working in.

I bought $21 worth of Nivea Sunday. There have been reports of instant ECB printing in MI. I did not get anything after I purchased it. The register tape did look different but they could have upgraded the registers preparing for instant ECB. ??

I will report tomorrow if I get the ecb.

I have heard it reported from a couple people who have gotten instant ECB that the Almay lipstick is not working in MI. I already have enough free lipstick. I would have been irked if I paid $8.99 for lipstick. I will be almost equally irked if I don't get the ECB for the Nivea.

I am in Mi. and I went Sunday and did the almay, maybelline, p&g, folgers, and softsoap. I only had the softsoap print immediatly. I went in totday to try the monthly and got so far, softsoap 5, listerine 4, crest 4, oral b 3, every ecb printed immediatly, but those were the monthly deals. My weekly deals still have not printed from the purchases made on Sunday. I'll post tomorrow if these things clear, I do have a feeling though that there were alot of people who did the maybelline mascara deal because when I went sunday morning it was slim pickins..

This AM I bought these items:

2 Softsoap and got immediate ECBs for both
2 Oral B Pulsar and got immediate ECBs for both

1 24/7 fresh rush Speedstick 3oz clearance $2 -- no ECB (I wasn't sure what was listed for the deals -- I usually check out a flyer -- either way this was free bc I had the CRT and coupon)
1 Just for Me -- no ECB
2 trial size Pantene -- no ECB (but I have a feeling I'll get credit/ECB for these as I got credit for the previous 6 I bought)

I tried doing the Accu check -- but the cashier didn't want to scan/adjust through the heartbeat coupon to make it free. I'm going to try this at another CVS (maybe tomorrow... not sure).

I like the instant ones because it says what it is for!! However, I hope the cashiers won't read them too close if we get them for stuff that's cheap/wrong!

I just got home from CVS (9:30pm). I purchased 3 Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrushes on sale for $4.99 each, and I received $17.91 back in ECBs. You get $5.97 for each toothbrush even though they are on sale in the square booklet for $4.99. A $2.94 profit was made tonight!

Will be going back tomorrow to purchase 3 more to see if the limit is really 5.

I went last night and got instant ecb for the monthly deals too. Yay!

I don't see an ecb for the Nivea this morning. With the changes in their system, I bet they are slow to update. I'll keep you posted.

I bought 3 also and my ecb doesn't say 'Limit reached' on it. Neither does my Listerine. I'm going to go back for 2 more Oral B and 1 more SS bodywash.
