Default Midwife Stories

I am very interested in becoming a midwife. I want to be a missionary/relief worker/midwife in slums in Kenya. I want to attend college in Kenya so I can serve in the slums while I am in school. I want to help the mothers and babies, because a lot of the time they have to deliver their babies without the help of a professional.
I would like to know your midwifery stories about your midwives or if you are a midwife

Have you ever heard of The One Campaign? They have a site www.one.org. This charital organization was created to help end poverty. My church is very involved in missions in Kenya. Our Pastor heard U2's Bono speak at a One Campaign Convention and it motivated him to create these missions. Our church serves Kenyans who cannot afford eye care, dentistry or basic health check ups. The One Campaign might have something for you. I would check it out. I'm a member of it and support it greatly. They and churches around the US really get involved and make a difference in people's lives.
Hope this helps.
