Mikael's first major injury...
so he went to his grandmas house yesterday with my boyfriend to visit for awhile... who knows why, she sees him every day. Anyway they weren't watching him while he was crawling around... and he face planted the floor. He severed his frenulum (put your tongue in front of your teeth and move it around--its that little piece of tissue holding your lip to your gum) he also tore his gums open pretty bad. Thank God he didnt lose any teeth and his teeth werent loose... but my bf didnt tell me Mikael got hurt until after I got home from work. AND he didnt even think of taking him to the ER or anything! He seemed ok, he was eating ok, no problems until last night when he started to bleed profusely. I couldnt even tell if he had his top teeth anymore he was bleeding so bad. So we took him to Children's Hospital where they looked him over and said there isn't anything you can do for a torn frenulum. He didn't have any noticeable tooth damage (thank God) so it should heal on it's own.
But I was so mad that no one was watching him, I didn't talk to my bf for the entire night.
I'm still pissed. It was totally an avoidable injury had they been paying attention and not let him crawl around the cat dishes. GRRR!

at least there wasn't any teeth damage and don't be too hard on your BF these things happen, babies are a lot quicker than you give them credit for
