Mis-Dialing or Miss-Dialing?
We've all had this happen.
My elderly parents were all excited about the delivery of Dad's new recliner chair and some how missed the telephone call about my mother's pacemaker check. It is an every six month event.
Mom has finally figured this out. Phone & pacemaker machine, placed on one chair in front of her, her on the other chair, attempting to attach suction cups to the right places on her chest to check the pacemaker over the telephone.
So, Mom & Dad decided to call the 800# over the weekend,
to get back on track.
They are only open business hours M-F.
Both Mom & Dad told me they are very concerned that this business is not right and on the shady side.
? What ?
Mom called them twice over the weekend, then Dad called them twice over the weekend. Guess who answered? One of those XXX rated lines.

Oh My!

That was four phone calls.
Mom calls them back on Monday to get her pacemaker checked
and begins to complain to the pacemaker place, how horrible
it is on the off hours with those

XXX rated lines. And she was paying them 'good money to stay on the straight and narrow too.'
*giggles*
So, after business hours on Monday PM, I call this 800#.
Dad gets on the extention phone.
Who answers?
Yup, it is the pacemaker answering service.
Definitely not the XXX line.
No wonder those heart patients are having heart problems - they get the wrong phone # and get some

XXX line.
I'm going to have to tell their cardiologist, who handles their pacemakers.
It'll make him chuckle too.
