Default Mom to the Rescue

Mom to the rescue.
It happens.
Moms just have to do things
and get on with real life.

Case in point: DS#2 on the way home from college about 11:15 AM, driving 70 on a 4 lane major high way. His truck conked out.

He carefully drove to the shoulder of the road, put on his emergency blinkers, lifted the hood.

Good thing for AAA.

I left work using my lunch hour to go pick him up.

Took AAA 20 minutes on the telephone to figure out where we needed the tow truck. I finally requested a supervisor to help me.

I carefully, pulled behind my son, emergency blinkers on my car.

Have you every stopped on the shoulder of a 4 lane major high way with cars & trucks speeding by about 70 mph? The 18 wheeler trucks were the worst and caused my entire car to shake as they drove by.

WOOOOOooosh!

It scared me silly.

The tow truck towed.

I drove through McD's for my starving son, and I went back to work, leaving my car with my son.

Now, we just have to wait for the repair costs.

The important thing is that nobody was hurt or killed.

How do policemen do this on a daily basis?

Helpful and brave mommy to the rescue!!! Glad everyone is okay and hopefully the car repairs will not be atrocious!!! I agree...policemen and other rescue people put themselves at risk everyday on the roadways!!!
