Mom went crazy (small update, page 2)
As some of you may know my family is a little different and very blended. Things have really never been normal. Though it all I have always looked up to my mom, I love her and respect her, she has always been there for me.
Well my mom went off the deep end yesterday and went after my step-dad with a loaded gun, there was a struggle and it went off luckily not injuring anybody. She is currently in jail. She needs help, but refuses. I am a little lost. She has always been the strong one. I know she had an awful childhood of physical and sexual abuse. She was the oldest and has always cared for her siblings. And she hasn’t had the best relationships. I knew that my mom and step-dad didn’t get along the greatest but I never thought it was that bad.
Right now my MIL has stage 4 lung cancer, things are not good. My dh’s bio dad passed away with leukemia in 2002 and his step dad has had some medical issues that have left him physically and mentally disabled. My mom is in the early stage emphysema, still smokes, and her health is declining fast. My bio dad is an alcoholic drug addict who can’t remember my b-day and sometimes even my name, who shows up once ever few years for a 10 min visit at the worst time. So I feel very very alone right now and scared.

A lot of people do turn around and seek help after reaching their breaking point, do you know what charges will be pressed so you have something to work from, I don't know what prison is like over there, but here you have to receive treatment for the issues that put you there in the first place, will your mum be able to get a similar service?

Oh Ruthann, I am so sorry. What you are going through right now must be very difficult. I will be praying for you and your family to come out of this and stronger than ever.

wow i am so sorry....not much that i can do to make you feel better, except saymy family is pretty messed up too...only time will tell when we have something this big happen. If there is anything you need just ask!
