Default Mommy of a new preemie

My daughter was born 3 1/2 weeks early. She is in great health and growing so fast, but she does some things that kinda make me wonder if she is OK sometimes...is it normal for her to have her eyes open and sometimes rolling around while she is asleep? also sometimes she shudders at the same time...she also has very bad (and smelly) gas...could there be a problem with her formula or something worse? she has nomrla BM's (very dark in color tho) and is gaining weight just fine...thanks!!

You have described a perfectly normal baby. Her eyes are rolling around bc she's in REM sleep. There's probably not a problem with her formula. . .let's face it. . .gas just doesn't smell that great!

Now whose genes did she inherit there? I know that there are moms out there who buy whatever formula is on sale and never have a problem with it but if you suspect that the formula might be a problem, I would consider talking to your pedi before switching. Is she getting special preemie formula or no?

I guess if the gas is seriously bothering her but otherwise I wouldn't fix what doesn't seem to be broken. She's a cutie by the way!

thank you very much!! Not only is she cute, but SUCH a great baby...only cries when she is hungry or wet...but doesnt even do that if you pay attention to her other noises before the cry starts!! I am truly blessed
