Default Money Management for Kids. Your #2 Responsibility

I put money management education as my #2 priority as a parent, just behind helping them survive, physically.

However, I'm still trying to refine a program for my 10-year old son. Does anyone have suggestions on how to add creativity and fun to money management instruction?

I LOVE Dave Ramsey's kit for kids. It is really helping my kids grasp the concept of money management. Just go to daveramsey.com and click on online store and look for the kit called "Financial Peace Jr." He also has free games and interactive books for free under the kids and teens section. But his kit is really great. Sometimes he has half off sales, I think I bought it when it was $10.

There's a good program called Share, Save, Spend that I've read about and been meaning to do with my kids. The kids budget in all three categories and save in a three compartment bank. There's more to it, if you search google, you can find it easily.

How about tying it to chores and household work? It's a good way to teach the value of money and work ethic.
