Default Mother and Baby Asked to Leave Plane

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,289119,00.html

What would you do if you were asked to leave with your child?

It does not sound like she had any choice, per her side of the story.
Usually, a bonus ticket and/or hotel fair is given when someone is escorted off.
Why did this mother wait 30 days before she complained?

You do not have a choice if you're being escorted off the plain. The 'option' would've been for the captain or other staff to tell the stewardess to stick some ear plugs in her ears and get over herself. However, since they didn't do that. . .she had no choice but to get off. That's a good question Angie. Although if it had been me, I'd have likely put it off too.

I think this is horrible if that stewardess cant tolerate a crying baby then she should get another job away from kids.
I wasn’t asked to leave the pane because of my baby’s crying but when I was coming home from Vietnam with Grace I was treated VERY badly on the connecting flight from New York. The stewardess asked me if I had kidnapped Grace because she would not stop crying. I was very ticked off but nicely told her that I had just adopted her and Grace was crying because it was past her naptime and there was to much going on for her to sleep. She didn’t even apologize for that comment and very rudely asked me if to "Shut my kid up" after the flight I did complain about her and told them I would never fly that airline again. They did apologize and said they would speak to her I never found out if they did or not

Tina,

"Coming home July 30th"???? Sounds like your family is about to expand????? How exciting.

I traveled on planes with both of my kids when they were young. Everyone was so helpful that I was calm which in turn had the kids calm.

I really can't imagine talking to a mom and saying "shut your kid up". That is just so rude, so disrespectful.

I"ve been on plane where older kids, not crying have kicked my seat for an entire 3 or 4 hour flight. I'm sorry, but for me, havnig my chair kicked for 3 hours is much worse than a child crying.

Audrey, Yep it’s so exciting I can’t wait till they get here the kids keep asking when they will come. It is very rude I would NEVER say that to anyone. I am with you on that I would rather have a kid crying then kick my seat that annoys the heck out of me.

That flight attendant sounds like a total cow. The baby wasn't even crying!!! He was talking and it sounds like pleasantly. I would have torn that chick a new one.

I just flew home yesterday and my baby girl was pretty upset when we got on the last plane. She hadn't cried the whole trip there or the first flight back, but we had all kinds of cancellations and delays going through Chicago because of storms and so a 5 hour travel day turned into a 10 hour one. I wanted to scream and cry too by the time I got on that last plane. The air pressure was bad, she was way over tired, and the plane was raging hot. But hello world people with kids need to travel too. The stewardess was very polite and asked if she could get me anything out of the overhead compartment to help, but I told her no we would be fine once we got into the air. I did overhear a lady behind me say - makes you wanna have kids right NO WAY. I thought that was pretty rude. But she fell asleep in the sky and we made it home. I think one day that lady will have a kid and that statement will come back to bite her . I don't think she should have been asked to leave at all - I would be very upset with that airline if it were me. I think someone should start a "family friendly" airline I could see a market for that - jmo.

I could also see an airline that didn't allow kids at all being very profitable. But yes, a family friendly airline would be profitable too.

When my oldest was three, he was very LOUD and KICKY after an 8 hour delay of a connecting flight. He was tired and grumpy - and the way Mr Sunshine used to cope with this (and being a big kid who looked like he was twice his age) was to TALK REAL LOUD and take his clothes off. Starting with shoes.

The woman who was sitting next to us was a grandma and very understanding. I thought the flight crew would put us off, but I just kept pleasantly reminding them that this is what happens to three year olds when the connecting flight is delayed and we were all grumpy.

Well, the shoes did not fly until we were already in the air. One shoe nearly hit the flight attendant and I caught the other one.

I apologized, and I really think they were at the end of their rope. Mr Happy was forced to keep his seat belt on for the entire flight. This of course was reason to wail, since he had no more shoes and socks to throw and undressing is difficult when your mother has very tightly buckled you in and is giving you the evil "don't you touch that button" look.

Of course, the three drunken women behind us who were making more of a commotion with the excuse that the baby was bothering them with his noise were more of a problem. At one point, I heard the flight attendant remind them that they were after all, adults, and had started drinking on the ground.

By the end of the flight, they were moaning and puking, and Baby Huey was asleep - dead weight for me, couldn;t wake him for anything to get off the plane. Had to carry him off.
