Default Moving with a Toddler

We are in the process on buying our own house and if every thing goes to plan we should be moving early-mid Aug, so i was hoping to get some idea/strategies to help Gabby adjust.

was thinking that with moving we could set Gabby into her own room but in hindsight probably not a good idea as moving from parent's room is stressful enough on a child as it is let alone when it's in an unfamiliar house

we were actually able to set up izzy's new room almost exactly like her old room. if she's still in your room, i would do the same. try to set up your room the same as your current. if you're thinking about having her start sleeping in her own room, depending on her personality, it may actually be easier to start it in the new home. (new area, new rules kind of idea) or at least having the option. like, have both your room & her room set up for her and just kind of let her decide.

But then again it could be a good opportunity to sell the whole 'Your own special room thing" I moved when the molly and luke were 8 months and 24 months and they both went into rooms on their own without any problems.

the layout of the house is almost identical to our place now except the new house is 4 bedrooms and it's mirrored (ie currently the bedrooms and lounge room are on the left and everything else on the right but in the new house the bedrooms and lounge are on the right) so more than likely the house will be set up pretty much how it is now (but thinking of switching the rooms use for computer room and Gabby's room around)

maybe we can try her in her own room and if it doesn't go well we can put her back into our room (i had been thinking of moving her to her own room this spring anyway, so it's just a month earlier than i planned) she sleeps in her own bed/cot so giving her the option to pick rooms isn't that feasible
