Mulch and Fleas
I'm looking for a little landscaping/pet advice. We just bought a new house and it has a lot more land than we had before. There are a bunch of good sized flower beds that are piled with pine bark mulch.
Our vet has always told us that fleas LOVE mulch and to only use cedar. Is that really true or just a myth? Trouble is there is no place around here to get it in bulk so we would have to get it in the bags....LOTS and LOTS of the bags. We really don't have that kind of money to spend on mulch.
So, my question is besides using something like rocks or stones what can I use? Is there something we can treat the mulch with to minimize the fleas? We do already treat the dog with Frontline.
