from what i understand while pregnant your body stores iron for about a 6 months supply for bf and that after the 6 months mark as long as you keep your iron levels up then it will pass to your daughter

my frineds daughter was the same way she wouldn't eat solids either but eventually if you keep introducing it to her she will eventually acquire a taste for the food. thats why I always say when you are eating food and your baby reaches for it give them a little taste. this allows there taste buds to become familiar with new flavours

Wow, how funny that I started this thread. The baby that I was referring to will turn 4 years old in May, and now I'm experiencing the same issue with my now 7.5 month old!! She doesn't want baby food, either! It must just be how me and my babies are...we like to nurse and bond, I guess!

I recently talked to a PA who said that I don't need to push baby food, especially if there are sick kids in the family, as my breastmilk is best for her and putting a stress of new food in her system wouldn't be the best as far as immunity goes. Well, then! We'll just keep doing what we're doing!

My son really didn't start anything but my milk till he was a year and even for about 6 more months would hardly eat anything. Around 18 months we left him for 3 days with my parents and weaned him cold turkey. Hope you have better luck with yours.
