Robert has been doing this thing lately where he will be WIDE AWAKE at night. I've tried to keep him awake during the day as much as possible, but it doesn't help. One night he was up from 10pm-2am, another night it was from 3am-5am, and last night it was from 11pm-2:30am.
And what makes this all bad is that he is awake babbling, grunting, or worse... crying. Pacifiers, swings, and bouncers work for about 30 minutes. I hate pacifiers to begin with because I hate relying on something that he spits out if you aren't holding it for him.
If anyone out there has any solutions to my problem, I'd love the advice!

We had this EXACT same issue with Kenzie when she was itty-bitty. They DO outrgrow the whole nocturnal thing. I tried to keep McKenzie up during the day, too. I did it in vain because it is nearly impossible to keep a newborn awake when the want to sleep!
Our schedules were so erratic at best when she was a newborn and I just learned to adjust. She's a great sleeper now- barely ever wakes at night(did last night for a bottle, but was seriously the 1st time in about a month!)
Hope this passes fast and someone has some better advice than me- because I surely looked for it, too!
