My daughter's bio father is 3/4 native american. He has not been in her life nor have we heard from him since she was 5 months old. My husband (her father since she was 2) is the only dad she knows. We have 2 other children and He would like to adopt her. Does anyone now if the Indian act will have any influence on the adoption, or have a similar story?

While I realize that this is only a Wisconsin resource, they can put you in touch with a similar organization in your area. I believe that they are familiar with Native American issues.
