Default My ECBs no longer beep now, but the stores drove me crazy

I was so happy that my ECBs no longer beeped so I went on a shopping trip with several plans.
However, while I took out my ECBs at the register, the cashier clearly told me that I could use only one ECB for each transaction. I was like "what?' but then I didn't want to make a scene by walking away, so i paid a lot more oop than previously planned. I then talked to one employee in that store. According to him, this rule was made by the district manager so no exception.
Then I went to another cvs. The same thing happened. What made things worse was that although I kept saying customer service told me one ecb per item, the manager insisted otherwise. The manager argued with the customer service guy over the phone. He even mentioned loss prevention. What does ECB to do with loss prevention anyways?
I got home and called customer relations right away, explaining all my confusion to the lady. She promised me to talk to the managers in those stores and made it clear about the corporate policy. I haven't shopped over there yet after that.
Why do the store managers try to make up their own rules by not following corporate policy? Does ECB make them lose money or what?
Besides, one manager told me only one card per family was allowed when he saw I have two cards, one for myself and one for my hubby. WTH

They should be ashamed of themselves. Sadly all you can do is deal with corporate customer relations. You would hope that they have control over their stores, but with a company as unorganized as CVS you would be surprised. Continue to call corporate to check up on the status and continue to complain about that manager. Eventually they will be forced to be responsive to their bosses.

The wording on the ECBs has changed. They used to say 'blah blah blah... Limit one per Customer'. Now they say 'blah, blah, blah.... Limit one OFFER per Customer... blah blah blah.'
Perhaps this will reduce the manager's interpretation of the ECB system.

According to our new best friend neuman, the manufacturers pay 100% for the ECB's. So no, CVS does not lose any money on them. I can't believe a District Manager wouldn't know this

I can believe it. CVS is notorious for poor training of its employees. Even managerial staff.

Sounds to me like she should have talked to the District Manager. I think you should call back and ask her to do that since he's the one who made the mistake.

I went to CVS on Sunday to get an RX filled. I also did the Revlon and Razor deal. When I handed her my EB's she said the same thing. I told her that I thought it was one per item so she said she would try to use them all and see what happened. Of course they went through. I thought that was strange of her to think that but wrote it off as the pharmacy doesn't know much about store policy.
