Default My girls have a job!

Bobbie & Jessica will be babysitting on snow days, days off from school, and even during the summer. They will be taking care of a 9 year old little girl and a 6 year old little boy.

I'm absolutely confident in their ability to take care of these kids. We discussed having various things for the kids to do, proper "discipline" techniques, and planning a menu which they will have to pay for out of their babysitting money.

We have a little fridge downstairs that I'm thinking the daycare kids food can go into. My husband can build a cupboard for non-refrigerated snack items. That will keep my kids out of the daycare kids stuff, and keep my kids from feeding the daycare kids all my goodies

Next I'm going to review emergency procedures with them. They each have their own cell phone, and we have the house phone. I want to get them into child cpr classes too.

I'm really excited for them. But I told them, now that they have jobs they can buy their own clothes

Sounds like a good plan. Are they neighbors' children?

Let us know how it goes.

They are sort of neighbors. They live about 3 miles up the road, and in the country that's "neighbors" I guess.

Actually, the 9-year-old has been friends with Sydney since they were in Kindergarten. Those children live with their Grandma and we have all known each other for a number of years, although we're not close or anything we know each other well enough to say "hi" in the store & wave if we're outside when they go by.

Our immediate next door is a licensed daycare provider. That's where Sydney goes in the morning to get on the bus. If a real emergency occurred she would help.

The girls can't watch Sydney 'cause their bus comes before hers.
