Default My little girl is growing up!

Yesterday Scarlette pulled herself up on her dinosaur toy! She stood, all by herself, for about 30 seconds, before getting to excited and clapping for herself and falling over She hasn't done it since, and she won't do it if you are watching her, but I know it's just a short matter of time before she does it again, and it's a regular thing for her! And today, she said mama! Clear as day! She wanted me to pick her up and I couldn't because I was changing CeJay and she starting banging her fist on my leg screeching "MAMA! MAMA!" it was awesome Pretty soon she'll be walking and talking.... Makes me kinda sad though She's growing up so quick on me!

I understand your mixed emotions. Yeah for Scarlette growing up and becoming more independent, but it is definitely a little sad to see, too (esp. when you know this is your last child). My daugter is only 10 weeks old and I'm already sad about how big she is, since this is our last (DH is pretty adamant)

My favorite parenting quote is one I heard just after my son was born "When you're a parent, the days are long, but the years are short"

That is such a great quote! I love it!

Yeah, Scarlette is definitely our last and that makes me sad, but I know that my body couldn't handle another pregnancy ((doctors warned me not to have a 3rd!!)) but now that she is hitting all these milestones, it just reminds me that she is my last

when your child reaches new milestones it is always exciting. I remember when all my boys started standing then walking. they all started walkimng at very young ages my eldest started at 10 months, middlechild at about 9and a half months, and my last one started at 11 months. just reassures you that you are doing a good job as a parent and your children are healthy.
