Update
Well, my mother is recovering from her surgery. The Dr's delayed starting it because they found that my mom is diabetic. She has been keeping the truth from us all. She claimed at the Dr at her pre-op that she was borderline diabetic. Well, they did a quick test before the operation and found that her blood sugar was really high. The Dr was not happy and gave her insulin. So her surgery was delayed an hour so that her sugar would go down. The Dr told my dad that she will have to get on a diet, lose weight, and start walking. I was upset when I heard this. Why would my mom keep this from us AND her doctor??? Is she in denial? Why would she risk it? She could have had a stroke or worse during the surgery had they not checked! She's going to have to get motivated after she recovers to get in control of this!
*BREATHE* I'm so upset!
So the surgery went well. They think that she'll be able to walk normally again. I'm going down there tomorrow. The storm will be gone by then. I would have been there today, but there has been so much rain and I have Robert and I don't want for him to catch anything at the hospital.
If you could say a little prayer for her recovery and for her diabetes.
