[Nitwit]

So last night I got home at 9:30 from school and Cooper was in the bed. I played around until 10 o' clock and decided to go to bed. When I went into our room I noticed Cooper's breathing was all funky and he was whimpering in his sleep. I went and got my mom to listen to him and he started to wake up. She left the room and I tried to lay him back down. When I laid him back down his forehead brushed against my arm and he was on fire!

I got him out of the bed and we checked his temperature. The thermometer stopped at 103.9! So we rushed him to the ER but the wait there was so long so we decided to go to this other ER where they advertised a guarantee of a 30 minute wait. When we got back to the triage area the nurse took his temperature and it was 103.5. So they gave him a Tylenol suppository. He was also breathing really hard and was tachycardic on the monitor.

We got into the quick evaluation room and the PA came in to check him out. She asked if he has had a lot of ear infections in the past 6 months and I said 4 at least. She checked his ears and his left ear was severally inflamed and red. She said for us to make an appointment with an ENT who will probably say he need tubes in his ears. Luckily I have an appointment all ready for his adenoids. They gave him a dose of amoxicillin and rechecked his temperature which was down to 100.9 and allowed us to leave.

Once we got home at 1:30am I got him in the bed and went to sleep at 2am myself. My mom got up with him at 2:30am and he wouldn't go back to sleep until 4:30 with me rocking him. So needless to say, I'm exhausted!!!! I just thought I'd give you an update and say hi... lol... he's doing better now and is into everything just like normal....
