Well I guess they say when it rains it pours. Jaxon has his first really bad cold. He is completely congested and has a runny nose at the same time. He is spiking a fever of 100.4 right now. The stupid Dr gave him his shots on top of his temp and cold. AND the actually exciting thing. HE HAS A TOOTH!!!! It hasnt come all the way up yet but the whole top part is out. My little guy was so miserable after his shots he passed out on daddys lap with his head resting on daddys arm with his fist in his mouth. It was cute but his temp isnt dropping. I called the nurse line and they told me to rectally temp him and if its 101.0 or higher to bring him to the E.R

Congrats about the tooth! You feel so bad for them when they are sick! Can I ask why they said to bring him to the ER for a fever of 101? I am told to start the Tylenol at 101 or higher. Well hope he is feeling better!?

Aw, poor Jaxon. Kals been teething and dealing with a nasty cold too. I have to agree with Lildarling on the temp. I would not waste a trip to the ER for 101 fever. Tylenol would do the trick with a fever that low.
I have heard that fevers are actually a good sign that their bodies are doing thier job of fighting off infections.
Good Luck getting him back to his normal healthy self!!

Fevers are a good indication that our bodies defense mechanisms are doing there job...just want to keep him comfortable and watch that it doesn't spike to high...Congrats Jaxon on your tooth buddy!!!Hope he is feeling much better soon Kristin!!
