We have had two tabby cats since they were kittens. They are great with the kids, great with us and other than the obnoxious habit of lying in my lap constantly at inopportune times, they are lovely creatures. . .to us.
Twice now, one of my cats has swiped, hissed and "cat growled" at my guests. This has just started recently. Yesterday, it was people that come for co-op. They've been to our house before. . .they were children. . .but no one was taunting the cat. There was much coveted table food involved. . .but it's not typical of her behavior. The second incident happened with my babysitter who is in and out of my house constantly. In fact, she feeds them when we are gone.
Why is my cat swiping and hissing at people all of the sudden? Insterestingly, the one that is doing it is the more gregarious of the two cats. The other one is content to hide and only cares to be with Lizzy. But this cat used to just love on people.
