Second hand clothes are great especially for little ones where they grow out of the in a few months. We do hand me downs and have bought bundles off ebay. T

My favorite money saving tip is to keep an old VCR attached to the TV, and use it to view video tapes. Tapes are under a dollar at yard sales and thrift shops, and this sure beats rental fees. You use a modulator to connect an analog VCR to a digital TV, and the trouble you go to helps save a lot of cash on movie night. Some of the newer VCRs are compatible with the new TVs.

I love consignment shops too, but they don't give me much for my clothes because they're not name brand (apparently Target and Wal-Mart aren't considered name brand - lol). I have more luck with garage sales - which I host about once a year.

I hardly ever buy clothes at full price - for me or the boys. I love the clearance racks at our local stores, and will buy clothes out of season for the next year. I don't think I've ever paid full price for a winter coat.

We are thrifty when it comes to buying clothes and food (I'm a coupon shopper too), so we can have some leftover for fun!

Saving money tips
Goodness there are so many ways, from doing the little things like making Starbucks lattes at home, to the larger things like couponing strategies.

Frugal living is a lifestyle and when first starting make a list of all the ways you spend money and than start deleting the obvious money drains.
