Ok so I didnt want to go to the ob dept but after hours of getting harassed by my boss and another co worker i went in. My boss and other co worker both were under the impression i was in labor. I knew I wasnt and really didnt want to get treated like I was stupid when I went in so I kept saying no. Well I went in. I was having mild contractions but they said they were too mild to worry about. My blood pressure was great and baby was SUPER active. I kept saying that the monitors were making the baby mad. The baby's heart rate was in ranging from 130-142 the whole time. I ended up being monitored for almost two hours because my dr was the dr on call and he just wanted me to have the peace of mind plus I have an appt with him on monday so now Im sure I will have even more to talk to him about. Well he told the nurse to check me and there was a new nurse training in. So the actual nurse checked me and wrote down on a piece of paper what she thought and then asked me if I would allow the student nurse to check me. I said I didnt care but the student nurse DEFINATLY didnt know what she is doing as my insides are still hurting. The student nurse said she thought that I was 'finger tip' dialated and thinning. The actual nurse said I was two centimeters and thinning and a little short. But all in all I wasnt in labor or anything I was just getting ready. So my dr had them monitor me for another half hour and then I was released (which I KNEW was going to happen) My dr did say he didnt like that I had progressed another centimeter. I actually had a good time in the ob dept this time besides the student nurse hurting me by not knowing how to check but I guess you have to learn sometime. I loved hearing the heartbeat for so long and actually getting the count. It was the first time I think I got to actually hear the heartbeat so long. I tried recording it on my cell but it just sounds like static on my phone but thought I would share my actually interesting night

You do not have to have a student nurse, unless you wish to have one. I can appreciate that you did allow her to help learn.
Just wait a little longer, you are still on the early side of delivering.

i didnt mind the student nurse it was just a rough check if you get my point. she was really nice actually and i know that everyone starts somewhere. I really didnt think i needed to go to OB but I did it to figure out what was going on. But I didnt want to really ask any real questions because they have a tendancy to try and make you feel like your stupid. Even the Drs have been known to say that some of the OB dept are a little on the rude side when you go up there.
Wow... Interesting evening I wouldn't worry about being at 2 centimeters dialated- I stayed at 2 for like a month before anything really happened.... I can't believe how fast it's coming! I remember when we were all in our first tri's and worrying about what might happen next, and here we all are close to having our little people!! Good luck and let us know what the doc says Monday!
im not worried about the two centimeters I think my dr is more worried because of family history. My mom and sister are both really fast laborers. plus the whole premie thing. I honestly think this baby will be stubburn and stay put for a little while longer

You should start a poll on guessing what it will be again when you get closer to delivery! Well I am happy that everything is going good for you and I pray baby stays until 36-37 weeks! I am planning on taking a belly pic in a couple weeks and doing a poll. I am so anxious to find out what it is. DH told the baby it was evicted because he wants to know what it is already. I am hoping that baby stays in for at least two or three more weeks. I would love to be full term
