Talking My visit to the RE(update pg2)

So we saw my RE tonight and.....

It was just as I thought. He said he's ok with us trying a 100mg Clomid cycle with my ob/gyn but in his personal opinion if none of that stuff worked before its probably not going to work now. I sort of knew that but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. He also said that I have 6 frozen embryos !! I thought I only had 4! He said that the nurse must have been mistaken b/c I had 8 () and we transfered 2(I really am an egg machine )! He even pulled up the embryo storage record and showed me. They are all grade BB and above. So they are perfect day 5 embryos!

I have to call billing in the morning to find out my exact cost since our insurance doesn't cover anything. He estimated $3,000-4,500 including meds (which are only about $100-200). Plus our storage fee this year which is $1,000. So total about $4,000-5,000 (IVF cost us $10,000 so its half the price).

I also need a test that is something like a HSG but just checks your uterus by u/s. It's not as painful as an HSG and my insurance will cover it which I am happy about .

So with any luck and lots of saving....we should be able to do an FET cycle after Nevy's 2nd birthday (July 28th) or early next year. Since I am only working a few days a week right now and we are still paying off the hospital from Nevy's birth its going to take us a while to get the money together(maybe I should start a collection??? j/k).

The hardest part of all this is that I had to figure out how many to transfer. They are frozen two, two, one and one. The so-so looking embryos (which are still great grades) are frozen as singles. Since I m/c Nevy's twin I was worried about only transfering one but with all the complications from her pregnancy I really dont want twins. Well after talking it out and the odds and all that fun stuff. We decided to transfer two again.

Well thats it. Sorry it's so long but I just wanted to get everyone up to speed. I'm almost done with my provera and I'll be doing my Clomid cycle in Feb. If it fails then on to FET for us
