Default Natural Birth Questions

Hi -
My husband and I just decided to try to start to conceive. I decided to try a midwife, for a variety of reasons. Mostly because I was born at home with midwives. My Mom is an amazing women and has taught me a ton about doing what is natural and right for my body...but I have to be honest the pain scares me a little.
I feel like I should make a commitment now to mentally prepare. I recently started doing yoga and feel that the concentration I can bring to my practice (plus the breathing) will help me.
BTW - I love my midwife. She is also a RN and was the first medical professional who I felt got me as a whole person. She supported my efforts to eat organic, do yoga, detoxify my home and supplement my diet with nutritional supplement and breastfeed. Every other medical provider was never interested in preventative medicine or treating the whole person. I am a devotee....
Any experiences out there that people would like to share. Has anyone done a natural birth with a midwife with no epidural?
