Unhappy Need advice

I need some legal advice, I guess you can say. My husband and I have been married for almost 11 years and have 4 children. He is good when he want to be, but now being a recruiter and going out with the other guys (whom some are single) hasn't been making a good mix. I knew the long hours of recruiting duty, this has nothing to do with our problems, we actually get a long better the more hours he is away. I don't want it to be that way, he refusses to go to consuling because the military will put this over his head. We have less than 7 years left until he retires, but he does a lot of verbal abuse when he drinks. And I don't think I can take 7 more years of this. But I have no job, I'm doing online college courses now, because I don't know what the future holds, and I want to be prepared. But what can I do being with no job and 4 children. He already says he would give me the kids and pay child support. I know if we did divorce it would be hard, I would rate a certain percentage of his retirement but knowing him he would get out just so he wouldn't have to pay me anything. I really feel that we are keeping it together because of the kids, which I know is wrong, but at least I get to be here 24 hours a day for them compared to if we did divorce they would have to be in day care I would have to go to work and they would be losing out on both parents (or should I say for the most part 1 and that's me). There are days when it is good but when those days come and they are bad, look out. I am just so afraid that I am staying for the wrong reasons, that I am the only one out of this relationship who is willing to work on staying together, he wants to wait until he gets out to get help, but what do we do for the next 7 years? I'm just so fustrated and confused. Do I rate any type of legal help, I was prior military as well, or will they just help him?
Hurting so much
