Default Need some advice on non sleepy baby?

For the last few weeks Lucas has been waking up at 3am and either fall asleep instantly or not able to sleep for another 2 - 3 hours... This is starting to drive me insane because it ONLY happens when DH is either working nights or working days, NEVER on his days off.
He usually sleeps the whole night without a peep in his room, and I would get my much needed sleep. Now this happens... Im getting frustrated cause Im losing ALOT of sleep, and get this... HE WAKES UP EARLIER WHEN HE DOES THIS I am SUPER exausted and DH is always working so I dont get my well deseved sleep.

When DH isnt working and he wakes up with Lucas, not during the night.. Because Lucas doesnt wake up then, and he wakes up a 9am instead of 7 - 7:30. DH lets me sleep in, but sleeping in till 9am those mornings is good enough for me so I dont ACTUALLY get my sleep I need on the days Lucas is being a turd..

What do you think is up with him? After sleeping all night for the longest time, why do you thing he wakes up in the middle of the night for nothing! (hes Wide awake) AND what can I do to make this end again? Im stressing over sleep right now, and to top it off I get some bad MS...
Ive tried ignoring him when he is awake and try to sleep but he makes squeels and plays with the bars on his crib and shakes it. When I get up with him all he wants to do is lay on me and I HAVE to spank his bum SO hard(cause he likes it) to keep him quiet.

I just want some more rest

Ok I know this maybe a weird question but does your dh snore?

Mine does (really bad ) and I noticed that when he works Nevy wakes up earlier then when he stays home and sleeps in. I think the sound of his snore keeps her sleeping. So maybe Lucas can somehow sense when you dh is home?

Maybe keep his routine of waking him up at 7 and reduce his day naps.

Lucas only ends up having one nap a day because it falls so late in the day. Its 12:11 now and he wont go down for a little while yet... Ive tried making his schedual different but its his way or no way at all

Are you sure our little ones are plotting against us? Alyssa is the same way! In fact, she has gotten to the point now where she only sleeps 7-8 hours at night, and takes maybe a 20 minute, or no nap at all, during the day.

I talked to my pediatrician and had her tested for everything under the sun that could be causing it....and after all that you know what I get told? Oh she just might be a hyper child. Grrreeeeeat. How lucky am I?

One thing I'm lucky about is that I am not pregnant. MAJOR PROPS your way for dealing with both at once.

Can your families help out in any way? Maybe someone can take him one day a week for a few hours so you can catch up on sleep.

Lucas has gone to his Lolas (philipino for grandma) I almost didnt want to end in that route but with DH working 2 more shifts I can almost not handle it Shes going to take him over night so I can get a good nights rest and get him tomorrow when DH gets off work.. It does work out nicely since I wont have to make dinner tomorrow night **hehe**

Anyways, off to get more rest, (II have a major headache)

When I was pregnant with my first I'd sleep 15 hours if my dh would let me....of course when he was home I only got 7 hours. He doesn't sleep enough and always thinks I should be awake because he is?...weirdo

I'm glad you got good rest though!!
