Default New Here and Really Need to Lose This Weight....

I am about 60 lbs overweight!! I have always been a bit overweight, but more like 20, maybe 25 lbs. When I had my first son I was about 30 lbs overweight. Well I only gained 24 lbs w/ that pregnancy and lost it within a few wks of having him, but by the time I got pregnant w/ my 2nd son 2 yrs later, I had gained it back, plus another 10-15 lbs so was a good 45-50 lbs overweight. Well I only gained 8 lbs w/ him. I was really sick the first trimester and lost 12 lbs and then gained them back and an additional 8 lbs. Well now I'm about the same as I was when I had him 2 yrs ago. (I was up another 7 lbs, but lost them last summer) I had lost 15 lbs actually but have gained some back!! Anyhow my New Years Resolution is to get back to better eating, get back to working out (I love Turbo Jam) and get this weight off (60 lbs) by the 4th of July!!! Mind if I join here?? I do much better when I have someone I need to check in with?? Haven't had a chance to check out the board much, but do you have certain "check-in" posts?? Just support posts?? Just post on one thread your progress and trials?? How do you ladies do it??

Hi Jessie,
Glad you joined. I'm new to the forum, too. I don't think there are any rules about checking in. From what I've read, everyone seems to be very supportive. I have a 100 lbs to lose and keep off. If you need a cheering section you can count on me.

Hi Jessie,
I have a lot of weight to lose also as I weigh just under 300 lb, and I'm just getting started. The way I'm looking at it is that it's a journey, not a short journey to the local grocery store, but a long haul journey to an exotic beach I'm dreaming about. It's going to take some time to get there but as long as I keep moving in the right direction, one day I'll lie on that beach.
