Hi, I'm Sarah, married for 8 years to an Air Force officer. We have three children and it looks like another on the way.
Sorry, short intro, but I've been wondering about something for a while and it's always on my mind. My husband is very irrisponsible with money. He spends money, or charges things whenever he wants it seems and now we are very much in debt and I see no future for us. I am wondering if there are any consequences with the military if someday we can't pay the bills? How much trouble can he get into? And where can I go for help or advice? Not financial help, but help for him. I seriously think he is addicted to his hobby of motorcycle racing(a very expensive and dangerous "hobby"). I have had shock after shock with him spending as much as he does. I can't even go shopping anymore, not just for me, but for our kids either, I have to skimp on grocery shopping even! I try and talk to him, but he doesn't want to hear it and that's the end of it.
Any experience with this? Advice?
