I am letting the baby stay up late and it's gonna be just me and her because my dh has to work. So I got her a little Happy New Year hat. I'm making little baby friendly appetizers and we're gonna dance to "baby friendly" music and watch the ball drop and pretend we're at a real party. It should be pretty fun...she's a silly baby.

I'm going to MIL's with SIL as all our Dh's are working night shift. We are having appetizers and lots of kid friendly foods....bringing the wii over and some board games for the kids. Then when they are asleep we are going to hot tub On the 1st the boys are all supposed to come to MIL's after work and we are having family brunch. It'll be fun.

My parents are so sweet -- they have offered to take the girls so we can go out. It's so nice because my grandparents used to take my sisters and I so my parents could go out. Looks like I'll be returning the favour (or keeping tradition, depending on how you see it) when they get older!

Anyhow, we're just going to a small gathering with a few friends. We'll be lucky to stay awake until midnight... let alone drive ourselves home!

Well although my mood may be a little sombre will still likely have fun even though I am working...usually although the night is busy and a little hectic everyone is pretty upbeat and festive so it tends to be a fun night to work...There will be music in the lounge part of the restaurant and champagne at midnight which the staff gets to partake in...my DH and DD (who is helping at my DH's family restaurant this year) will arrive a little before midnight and we will ring in the New Year together...my DS is working tonight too... much to his chagrin (he works at the same restaurant I do) so he may still be there too and we can all ring in the New Year together...will see the rest of the family tomorrow...

I had off today...so I tried to rest up so that I could stay up until midnight! We are going to friends house to get together to watch the ball drop. Then tomorrow we are having a family dinner with my parents and siblings!
