Thumbs up Nintendo Wii

I'm not usually big on game consoles. I used to play most of my games on my PC. And since having a family, my husband who used to be addicted to Madden football games has stopped playing.

Then came the WII!

We borrowed one from a friend and thought it looked like a little more fun than the average game console for two reasons. First, because the games are more family centered, they are games that all ages of family members could play and play together. And secondly, because they are more action filled with actual movement instead of sitting around just clicking buttons.

So, we started playing the bowling game and now, I'm addicted. My 72 year old father in law has the high score between us all and my 14 month old son loves to sit and watch Mommy, Daddy and Grandpa act silly!

I have to say, for someone like me who really thinks that kids need to get off the games and play more, the WII has won me over!

The Wii is really a great console because of the innovation of its controllers. Hope they make good family games for the Wii.

I have a Wii but I don't think there's enough substance to the games. I prefer to play on the PC or the Xbox 360. I play a lot of games with my husband, and we usually find the Wii games too 'light' for our tastes.
