That was news to me today... mind you this was BEFORE I read the "coupon policy" section of this forum. I've been using coupons at Harris Teeter for quite some time now... and using a 2nd coupon on the "free" item in a b1g1f sale. Today I was told by a CSR and an assistant manager that I couldn't do that. I had no idea!!!! And I was convinced that this particular store's CSR and AM were WRONG! So, given my uppity nature and knowing that I am always right , I decided to send an email to corporate....

I have a question regarding your official coupon policy. Specifically, I would like to know if a second coupon may be used on the "free" item when a product is sold as "buy one, get one free." While at store #0171 (1621 N. Sardis Rd., Charlotte) earlier today, I was told first by the customer service representative, then again by the assistant manager that this is not allowed at Harris Teeter stores. Having been a loyal Harris Teeter customer in excess of three years, I was surprised to hear this. Is this a new policy? And, if so, how will Harris Teeter continue to remain competitive and maintain their positioning in a market where other stores in close proximity (Bi-Lo and Lowes Foods) do accept a second coupon on a buy one get one free item, charge said "buy one, get one" items at half price (thereby allowing the customer to purchase an odd number of items if need be), and double coupons with a face value up to $.99? So, tomorrow I'll probably get a reply from CS saying "Duh... where have you been, clueless woman!?!?" YIKES!!
