Alex gets really angry when her daddy and I show affection toward each other in front of her. It's weird. If we hug or kiss, she goes bezerk! She screams, sometimes cries, gets really angry and runs over to us and hits! Is she just jealous?? Anyone else have this issue with their toddler?

Not with my toddler, but with my dog. He actually snapped at DH once.

Perhaps she thinks you are hurting each other? What does she do if you hold her and DH comes and gives you a kiss?

DS has done this a few times. We think it's a jealousy issue--he's not getting hugged.

Usually DH just tells him something to the effect of "Daddy's hugging Mommy now. I'll hug you in a minute" or sometimes "Get used to it. Daddy and Mommy are going to kiss."

A lot of times DH picks DS up and then the three of us have a "family hug"

Jaecy only ever says EEEWWW or AWWW lol one extreme to the next!

i would try having your dh hug her first, then you next? might help if it is jealousy

Yeah usually we pick her up and do the whole "family hug" thing. She is usually fine after that. I don't think she thinks that DH is hurting me (especially since usually I'm the one she is mad at when we're hugging!!) hehe! I'm pretty sure she is just going through that daddy-phase!

Libby is little Miss jealously whenever DH and I have a cuddle of any of the other kids are cuddling us. We just include her and ignore the silly behavior. Mine have all been a bit like it but it was a phrase and they grew out of it pretty quick.
