I feel your pain!!! DS does the same thing! We do the duct tape thing and it seems to have worked for us. People laugh when they see me get him ready for his naps and bedtime--that I duct tape the tabs shut. Of course, my little Houdini, has managed to escape the duct tape at times! I like your idea of sleeping in jeans---my DS can whip off his pj bottoms in about 2 seconds flat, too.
When he was in his crib he'd talk and play when waking up from his nap so, since he was happy, I just let him hang out in there. That's when most of the trouble happened so I got him up quicker. Things have been better since he moved into his "big boy bed". I think it's because he doesn't really sit in there and play. Maybe give her less "alone time" before and after naps????
I ended up taking pictures one particularly bad afternoon and sent them to DH at work saying "This is why Joshua didn't take a nap today". I sent them to my mom, too because she was one of those who laughed at me for the duct tape. She doesn't laugh now
I re-read your post when you were talking about not liking her diaper. My DS doesn't like his, either and for the past few months he'll tell us if he needs a diaper. He especially hates being dirty. We've tried sitting him on the potty, but so far no dice.
Is there a certain time of day she normally poops? (Like with DS he generally has a BM mid-morning). Maybe arrange her diet (less fiber in the hours before naptime) so she's less likely to poop during that time? I don't know. I'm just throwing out random ideas since I have a little one who hates his diaper, too.
