Last week Ralph's very quietly stopped doubling coupons here.

So far Vons still does - hopefully they keep doubling and Ralph's will lose business and be forced to double coupons again! (just like what happened to Vons before)

I for one will definitely be avoiding Ralph's until things change...

Ralphs does double, but only up to a total value of $1.00.

If the coupon is 50 cents or less, it will double.

From 51 cents to 99 cents, it will double to a value of $1.00 total.

Coupons with a value of $1.00 and over are redeemed at face value only.


So a 50 cent, a 75 cent and a $1.00 coupon are all worth a buck each.

In addition to not giving them your business make sure they know how you feel - write them or email them to let them know you've taken your business to Vons. Because if Ralphs keeps it up, Vons will follow (and for those in LA, you might want to write also because if it works here, it will spread your way).
