Default No need for speech therapy :)

Kaydee just had her speech and development evaluation As you can tell by the title she did great. She made a BIG liar outta me by saying every word she has ever said (even ones she hasnt said in weeks)

Here was her list today:
Hi
Me
Jae Jae (jaecy)
Melmo (Elmo)
made monkey noise when asked what a monkey says
Cookie
Hi-Ya (karate noise, along with a Karate chop haha)
Mom
Ball
Mommy (which means Barney )

She is at the 21 month level for all developmental skills and cognitive skills. They were VERY impressed with how advanced she was in those areas. She can jump, she can baby sign, she can stack blocks, etc.

I am VERY relieved. They said she is only about 20% behind in language which doesnt qualify her for anymore speech lessons. whoo hoo!!

i can't believe how much she says! if she says as much as a 21 month, then how is she still labeled "behind" ?

izabell still isn't saying very many words, so i'm nervous about her appt later this month.

That is great that she doesn't need help with speech.
Tiffany hardly spoke a word till recently and she is 2 !!!!
She has all these elaborate signs for things and is great at expaining herself withour speech. We try to get her to say words, but she gets all embarassed and won't do it. But when she does, she really does well. I don't know why she is so shy!!!!
Oh well, what can you do.......

Neither does Tiffany!!! We don't let her watch tv at all yet. Which is not easy......I have to keep her busy instead of letting it keep her busy for me.....so tempting sometimes.
( I had some family members who used the tv as a babysitter...I vowed not to do it and ended up going to the other extreme)
