my son is 4 months old, and he is driving us nuts with his sleeping routine,we have a slightly unusual situation as we are staying with the in laws while we refurbish a house, so each time he cries he gets pampered,he has never cried it out for fear of waking the in laws and hes becoming quite the spoilt little prince.
different people have given us different advice but jointly said that three months is when they start to settle down, thats came and gone and if any thing hes getting worse,
he has never slept for more than three hours at a time and usually goes 1 1/2 to 2 hours,
he was always awake at night even when mum was pregnant so his pattern hasnt changed much.
he is a hungry baby and is still being breast fed and we are just starting to add some rice stuff with it
i know allowing him to fall asleep on us is making a rod for our own back but its not fair to wake everyone else in the house, he does get put down about five minutes after he doses off.
the missus is getting more tired by the day and i want to help, but it always ends up with fraught tired discussion. after all i am a bloke, what do i know.
my question is what routine can we adopt during the day which will help him sleep at night.
any pointers would be grately accepted
