some nights, not very often, maybe every other week or so, i seem to have trouble letting down... it's almost always around 3 to 5 in the morning and i know the milk is there and Gabby is sucking for quite awhile but i just don't let down... sometimes Gabby is rather sleepy and isn't sucking hard enough but a lot of the times she is and the milk just isn't flowing... After a period of time, usually within an hour, it will finally let down (this isn't with Gabby sucking that whole time; she will only suck for so long before she gets cranky with it)... it's always my right but sometimes it's both (left has always seemed to have had more milk)

I sometimes have the same issue. Mine happens when I’m busy and stressed out. For me I have to relax and look at her. I think about how much I love her and I concentrate on the sucking feeling. Then pretty soon I get that let down feeling and she starts with her long sucks. But I let down on both side at once I don’t have an issue with one side not letting down over the other side.

I also seem to have more milk and my left side and she prefers the left side! I have no idea why.

I had to post.......When I was bf-ing I seemed to have more on my left too!

I had this too and it used to lead to a very annoyed baby. Rescue remedy can help.

i do have that happen during the day sometimes when either one of us is feeling tense but this is different, we are both relax (although after a few mins of sucking with nothing happening Gabby starts getting stress)

thanks for the link, but i don't think it will work cos i'm not stress; my first thought too, when it started happening, was stress but i noted my mood everytime it happen and i wasn't feeling stressed... i've also ruled out hormonal changes (Oing and AF), tideness (both her and me), frequency of feeds and sickness
