Default Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder

Do you know someone who finds it hard to keep a job, or be promoted in their current job because they are unable to work effectively because of the intensive planning and time taken for anything to be acheived? Perhaps they drive you to distraction around the house because they start a dozen jobs but never finish any of them because "it's not perfect". Your loved one may also hoard objects that are of no use to anyone, and are not even of sentimental value. They may also be very mean with money and question your every purchase. Sound familiar? Your loved one could be experiencing Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder. Not to be confused with the more well-known OCD which is an anxiey disorder, OCPD can cause financial and marital strife is left undiagnosed and untreated. You can read about it here

Sounds a little like me, Beth. I am working on getting therapy for a number of issues:

* transgenderism
* anti-personality disorder
* anxiety disorder
* some sort of paranoia
* some variant of obsessive-compulsive disorder

I believe, and my last therapist hinted at this, that the last four things I mentioned are spawn off by the first thing.

Yes, trying to cope with the first condition could certainly trigger off additional anxiety-related conditions. Good luck with your therapist. Best wisehs, Beth
