Default Overly Emotional?

I am about 11.5 weeks pg... I cry over EVERYTHING! Sometimes I get choked up for NOTHING AT ALL!!! It happens like 5-10 times a day! I remember being emotional before, but not like this... I am constantly holding back tears... How do I calm myself down?

I'm right there with you!!! I felt so silly yesterday...my DH accidently hung up on me and I cried!!! So I would also appreciate any advice from the ladies. Does this stage pass...or will it continue until birth?

I find myself crying for almost no reason. I also have this problem with anger - I am getting ****** off for almost nothing!

I'm not sure there's much you can do to stop that it's the hormones... Try and stay cool and calm think of your baby and think that the stress isn't good for him/her...

I get mad real easy too... I'll snap at DH for nothing and he'll just stand there like "What did I do?" ... but this crying thing is really getting me! I'm watching Discovery Health and there is a show on called "The Baby Human" and I'm getting all choked up because of how smart they are saying babies are! And I was reading a livejournal today and it had a mom talking about her daughters first day of school, and I was choked up... it's crazy!!!!!!!

Yup, right there on the emotional rollercoaster with you guys... Mine is leaning towards out-and-out cranky though. I'm not sure how DH puts up with me some days lol!

Get some peppermints with peppermint oil. Place one in your mouth.

Or
real peppermint oil and mix a drop in hand lotion. Use on your hands.

Do not use if you have a history of seizures.

Peppermint oil helps to focus and stop crying.

I was the same way in my first trimester with all 3 babies. Also in my 3rd trimester I can get very emotional....crying for no reason, then a second later I am laughing....its rediculous!
I find that if I don't get enough rest I cry soooo much more easily. So make sure you rest when you're tired and even nap if possible.

I so remember the emotions! I cried constantly. I made the mistake of watching one of those starving children in Africa specials and I think I cried for like 3 days straight. It got better over time, but it wasn't until about 2 months pp when I got my hormones under control again. Good luck!
