as some one that works in children clothes and see this stuff, i find it so wrong... i haven't seen padded bras but we sell the little cupless bras and i wont even show them to customers unless they ask for it... they're only little girls they should only be in singlets or crop tops (1/2 singlets)

That is so disgusting. Working with young kids I often find myself in situations where I see children's blatant naivity and think how sad it is that a person would take advantage of such a young and trusting child. Reading about things that take this to another level by sexualizing and objectifying these kids makes it a million times worse. I personally think that bras in general for kids that young is weird, but padded ones are even more out of my mind's grasp. There is no way that my daughter would ever wear a padded bra at that age. How is that considered "discreetly developing" when she still has at least 4-6 years before she even starts developing? If there's concern about ppl seeing through her shirt, she can wear an undershirt like every other child did in the past, she doesn't need something that creates the illusion of breasts to hide the fact that she's developing them...how does that even make sense? I don't even want to start about how I feel about Bratz aside from this matter!

Padded bras for kids? What the heck! I worry too much about sickos to make my child an obvious target for their discusting obsession. Do you ever wonder what the parenst who do purchase this stuff are thinking? Dang, let little kids be little kids.

And this is somewhat off of the subject, but I am glad to see so many moms who do not allow their kids play with Bratz. We don't allow our daughter to have them, but she is literally the ONLY girl she knows that doesn't have a huge Bratz collection.

It makes me fear for my own DD as she gets older with the way our society portrays women and how it starts from such a very young age. So sad...
They make money because despite many saying the won't buy them, there are still many who will buy them.
I too worry about my dd's with all the images and sexuality of woman that they see around them. I try to keep it to a minimum and we also talk about what is important about a person and all that stuff.
Just today my 6 year old told me she had to tie her shoe some weird way to be "cool." I thought you are way to young to be worried about being cool! And said that to her, but in a much gentler way!

so many mothers do buy "bras" for their kids... I remember a little girl probably about 4 yrs asking her mum for a bra and the mother got it for her, i just remember thinking OMG... of cos i remember another mother of a little girl about the same age, maybe 5, the girl was begging for a bra and the mother basically told her not even if hell froze over (not in them words but i knew what she meant)

This is disgusting! But what if they NEED them at that age soon? I needed one at 7/8 years old, and so thats quite a scary prospect! :O

i really don't think they would need padded bras and in most cases even if you need something at 7/8 a crop top would suffice... as for the customer that did by one her child was flat

That spokesperson ought to be slapped. "Discreet as they develop?" Hello? I have never in my entire life met a 6-year-old who was developing. The earliest I've ever heard of was nine. It makes me literally sick to my stomach the way that society is constantly seeking to sexualize our children. Anyone who looks at a child as a sexual object is sick, and now they are promoting products to ensure that our children are going to be viewed that way? Makes me want to lock my kids in a closet to keep them safe from all the garbage out there.

I also think its absolutely repulsive. I have never in my life heard of a child developing that early either. I cant believe how outrageous things have become when it comes to women and their bodies. I was at Target today and on the toy isle looking at baby dolls for the girls collection ( Im a cabbage patch fanatic ) and I started looking at barbies thinking how fun its going to be to start buying them, HOWEVER..... 90% of them come half naked and if they are dressed it is in a mini skirt and belly shirt or something. What ever happened to clothes being cool ? I remember when I played with barbies not THAT long ago we always had actual clothes to dress them in not the stuff they come with now.
